Sandstone is a clastic stone coming from sandy-sediments case-hardening, more or less complete. We can distinguish between big grain, medium grain and thin grain sandstones; the granules may be round, like in the sandstones that come from desert dunes case-hardening, but they are composed more often by quite sharp edges that sometimes conserve perfect crystalline shapes.
